RE: Good Hunting Knife?
I bought a buck knock-ff about 14 years ago, and it still holds a great edge. Once sharpened correctly, it is razor sharp and holds it's edge.
Last year at deer camp, we gutted 3 deer with it, without sharpening, and every guy who held it was amazed at how well it cut. It's in my truck right now, but I grab it tomorrow and post the name.
I also have a Gerber that I bought last year. Unfortunately, I misplaced it a week before deer camp and didn't find it until about 3 months ago. It has skinned many coon though and I've only sharpened it once.

I have William Henry, Benchmade and CRKT love them all. If you want a cheaper knife the CRKT is a great knife for around $80. I have 1 with tanto blade and 1 normal, I like the tanto but its personal preference. Good luck on your knife hunting....
