Bigger is always better. However, if you shoot short arrows you may want to make sure that they will not contact your riser. I doubt the little bit will be a problem though.

I asked the Tech Staff with ST the very same question. They said for deer, either would work, but the mags would just make a bigger hole. They also said, for Elk he would recommend the standards because of better penetration. That answer was based upon my rig of course. I would assume that you guys who shoot the hot rigs won't have any problems with penetration regardless of the broadhead being shot.
