Timberhawk is every bit the quality of the Badlands reputation. But Timberhawks price is much better than Badlands. I would go with the Timberhawk.

Both make good packs.

Timber Hawk is built well with many compartments in each part of the pack.

They all (The Backpacks) come with a hydration bladderstandard.

Very heavy shoulder straps/harness and waist strap, but very comfortable with air pockets on the back side of the pack.Balanced well.

Oversize zippers and zipper pulls that are much easier to hold onto with hands and with gloves on, and much easier to pull.

All stress points are at least double stitched with heavy stitching. You just really need to see one to appreciate it.

Only complaint we every get. Are they water proof? No. They repel well but not proof.Neither TH or BL packsare totallywater proof.

Thanks for the interest.

We tested both last year before bringing on a new line. We went with Timberhawk and haven't looked back if that helps you.
