Cabelas Silent Weave Predator

LOL... Don't know if you knew it or not (you must not have since you had to ask
), but I kinda used to be viewed as the local Predator expert around here... just run a search with "predator" and my user name and you'll have all the info you need. Look specifically for one entitled "My answer to Davidmil"; I think that one should have the answer you're looking for
Some of the better threads are banished to cyberspace now, as we used to really have some good camo discussions around here

Can't speak for the Silent Weave specifically, but I have quite a few articles of hunting clothing from Cabelas......Very good stuff.....I've not seen anything from Cablelas that's junk......Some is better than others though.

There is a new undisputed KING of camo now, and there's just no discussion needed anymore.....

I'm just playin of course.....Most out there do a fine job.

Thanks Greg and Mobowhuntr. Was a good thread. Think I'm going to do the fall gray for my treestand and ground hunting. My woods are THICK in many ambush spots and I think this would work well. I also have had many good experiences with Cabelas hunting clothes in the past. Not always top of the line but never chopped liver and lasts a long time.

Nice review thread
. I've been looking at some more Predator, my old spring green and insulated fall gray suits are about worn to a frazzle. Not because of junk material though both are the Predator heavy cotton material but due to heavy use and too many trips over barbwire.[&:] I am also looking at the Cabelas silent weave just for early hunting.
Last note.....the Enigma Gen II in the wolfskin is looking good too.

Another tip. I talked to another guy around here who has a silent weave set set and he said get the insulated coat for mid to late season hunting and a long-sleeve tee in the same pattern just a little too big so you can wear for early season and slip a layer or two under for that transition period into later season. I think I still may go Greg's route though.

Predator camo is all I will use. It's great stuff. I put a stand up for my son so he could sit and watch the last couple of years. After getting him settled I would walk another 25 yards to my stand and he said I just completely disappear. He said he couldn't see me unless he caught me moving. I use the Fall Gray here in Colorado and you justcan't see me. I have had several deerlook up and never see me. They look right through me. JMO.

This is a great thread. Lots of good advice. Well, I went ahead and placed my order last night for fall gray pants, insulated coat, long sleave tee, headnet, and twill cap. I also bought some brackets and the local hardware store that I can put on my stands to attach even more brush/branches on so I really blend in. Thanks guys. I'm guarenteed to get a big buck now. lol
