Default Mathews Legacy

Hello out there in cyber world! What can you tell me about the Mathews Legacy bow. I found one for sale ($300'ish, bow, 12 arrows, rest, site, hard case, the whole deal) but I don't know much about the bow. They are not apparent on the Mathews' site so apparently they have been replaced by a different model? Anyway, your input would be greatly apreciated!

My stepdad just purchased a legacy, with some accesories on it and paid $325. It seems to be a very nice bow (I could be biased I also shoot a mathews) it is on the mathewsinc.com under "dicontinued bows" , to get a bow for around $300 loaded isn't a bad deal. Just make sure you are comfortable with it and it is the right draw length, I don't think there is much adjustment on that and new cams cost about $75.

I have shot one for three years. Probably 4-5 yrs old. Good bow and that sounds like a good buy.

I'm in the same boat at markj. I have a 2002 Legacy that I've been using for several years. (I bought it used in 2004). It's a great bow. I'm now getting the itch to buy a new bow, but everytime I get close to doing it, I have second thoughts because I love my Legacy so much.

As far as the price on the one you found, it sounds like you're getting a great deal.

Oh, and here's a link to the Legacy description on Mathews' website:

Thanks for the input. The draw lenght of the bow is 28.5" and I'm a 27" draw lenght. I'll check into changing cams. Thanks again!

I had a legacy since the first year it came out. I used it for hunting and competition. Aside from harvesting many deer, this bow set 4 MN state records for indoor competition andwon me 3 state championships. Not bad for a hunting bow huh. I would recommend this bow to anyone.

I see cams for the Legacy on E-bay as well. they are about $100.00 from a Mathews dealer but 40.00 on BAY.
