evidently Gold Key archery doesnt exist anymore, but I have used the Answer release for years, now mine is broken beyond repair, does anyone know of a comparable release to prevent punching the trigger?

You might check Spot-Hogg's website. They bought GKF and used to have some of their stuff on clearance. You might call them to see if they can help as well.
