Default advantages of a string loop?

what are the advantages of using a string loop if you're using a release. i currently use one just because the bow i started using had one, and i had one put on my new bow also, but the guy at the shop brought up a good point, if theres a deer coming in, it would seem alot easier to be able to hook the release onto the string and slide it up rather than take your eyes off the deer and fumble with getting it on the loop. any thoughts?

Reduces "string pinch", no serving wear, your release is directly behind the arrow, and possibly no chance of the release sliding on the string. As to it being easier to hook to the string at the "moment of truth" I've found that if you're familar with using the string loop hooking up will become second nature, and you'll be able to do it with out thinking or looking.
