Default What sight set up is this?

On one of the bowhunting shows this past weekend i saw a guy that had no peep sight on his string.
Sticking out of the front of the riser was a sight like normal. Sticking out to the back of the riser was what looked like about a half inch circle with an X inside of it. It seemed to be in line with the sight.
Anyone know what this was?

Sounds like the "hind sight" to me. There are other type of sights like that on the market. Instead of a peep it uses a rear sight that is mounted on the bow. It can be used with most sights on the market today.

Thanks Big,
Is this something that you have used? Have you heard if it is easy to use?

No, I never used it. I like the string peeps. I do know it does not work like a normal peep. I think you sight each pin separately where with a string peep you center the sight ring a pick your pin. I think you can read up on it, they are on the net. Just do a search for "hind sight"

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Big,
Did the search and found the web site.
Looks interesting. Some good and bad to it from what I can tell.

Yeah, I looked at that when they first came out, I like the idea of nothing on the string to move, block light, etc... But I don't think I like the way you have to aim these types of sights. I think like anything, it just takes some getting used to.

So for now I will stick with the peep, but I do like the basic design of this sight. I have seen some that the rear sight, instead of crosshairs is a v notch just the rear sight of aniron sightedrifle only with two little red fiber optic dots to help center the front pin.
