ORIGINAL: cybersniper

I grinned ear to ear after shooting the Switchback XT. I had no intent on buing one and walked out $725.00 lighter. I had a 2003 Legacy and the new switchback was much better. Very smooth, was what I noticed the most, I lalso oved the size and feel. Don't shoot it if you don't plan on buying one. (Also shot the Trykon, nice bow, not for me..)

Cybersniper
Exactly what happened to me yesterday! LOVE the switchback

I shot the new switchback, but to be honest the best new bow I have shot isnt made by Mathews suprisingly. The new Browning Illusion is unbelieveable.

As good as the switchback is, its not nealy as nice as the illusion.

My opinion anyway.

Nothing PSE makes (Browning) compares to a Mathews. PSE does nothing but make their bows cheaper..and feast off of 3 year old technology.

Only the new Hoyt can compare to the XT, IMO.

Agree to disagree. Look at the new PSE (Brownings. Their limb pockets are gone, now there is just a light track the limb rides in. Secondly you cant just buy a name and assume it is the best. Mathews has made many advances in archery, and make a great bow, but the new illusion is the best feeling bow I have personally ever shot. Whisper quiet, and no hand recoil.

Also the new mathews are going overboard with the dampeners. OVERKILL

Just more that can wear out and need to be replaced.
