Default switchback xt and switchback ld

These are two new bows from Mathews. I have not shot them or even held one but I must say I am a little disappointed. It seems the xt is a little shorter than the switchback, and they added a few more dampners. The ld is for longer draw lengths. What is everyones opinion? I am not bashing Mathews, I was just hoping for more than a few dampners.

Sounds like a good time to try another brand.

The fact that they have came out with 2 new Switchback's for 2006 tells methat's still the bow to get!!Mathew's usually comes out with a new flagship model every year, so the SB is still their#1 model. I picked up mySB a couple of months ago, and I'm still tickled with it.
I don't see how much more they can do to a bow, technology wise.

I shot the xt and the Trykon yesterday. The Trykon made the trip home with me. The xt is a sweet bow but Trykon just won me over. Either way you get NO handshock with either. So sweet. Too bad I could only get one.

I've been waiting for Mathews to come out with another short bow. Here in a few months, I'll be trading in my lovely Outback for an XT.

The current 2005 Switchback is 33" long ATA, I don't see what 2" shorter will do for you on the XT?

Does the ld model have any more brace height?I Have a solid 30 inch draw.I have a high country premier force right now.It has a 7 inch
brace height.I was wondering if the ld switchback is for longer draw
it might have a higher brace height.Wonder how much difference
between the high country & the Switchback??

I grinned ear to ear after shooting the Switchback XT. I had no intent on buing one and walked out $725.00 lighter. I had a 2003 Legacy and the new switchback was much better. Very smooth, was what I noticed the most, I lalso oved the size and feel. Don't shoot it if you don't plan on buying one. (Also shot the Trykon, nice bow, not for me..)
