rubber boots will help controll your scent I like the Lacross alpha 1000 gm
I hunt from Oct. through Dec. In Indiana When its warm I wear regular socks with athin insole And when it gets real cold ill take the insole out and wear a good wool blend sock. Have had them 2 seasons and love them. Deer always cross the path i walk to my tree without a clue

I have never worn rubber boots but have heard the opposite of them. They leave no odor on the ground going to and from your stand, but when its warm and your feet are sweaty the open top allows the odors to pump out the top when your feet move. I just wear leathers boots all the time and drench them in fall blend scent killer and it seems to do the job.
