FOB's... Alternative to Fletching, real or Hype?
Has anyone here tried a product by Starrflight Archery called a FOB? http://www.starrflight.com/
They are a little disk thingy that simply slides over the arrow shaft that supposedly offers much better flight characteristics than vanes or feathers, especially with broadheads. They are designed to pop off the back of the arrow upon pass-through of game. They claimto revolutionize the industry with a high-tech alternative to the traditional vanes/feathers.
Do these things workor just another gimmick?

Mmmmm, well I've got 2 dozen of them NOT being used on my arrows.
Wanna try them for a small fee. j/k
They screwed with my nocking point to much to even consider using. Plus whenI went to a full containment and dropped the drop away it pretty much rules them out.
But oh man let me tell you I was getting some SLUG holes in paper with them!!
j/k on that one too.....

Thanks for the reply, guess I'll stay with traditional vanes.
How were they on noise? Did you have the opportunity to shoot through a target to see if they really did pop off on pass through?
