OK guys I'm in. I've read enoughpraise about these broad heads, I'm sold. I look forward to writing back about the big buck (or doe) that I shoot this year and the enormous wounds left by my new slick tricks!

Nice pics, throwingstarr!

Slick Tricks are really nice and they do fly dead on accurate. No messing with tuning, no fuss, no anything....screw 'em on and go!

They just appear tiny compared to other broadheads, that's all. Plus the blades themselves appear notas sharp out of the box as most broadheads. But they can easily be sharpened up and finely honed.See the pic below and you'll see the difference in Slick Tricks vs a Magnus Stingervs an NAP Thunderhead (viewed from bottom to top).

I wonder if they'll ever come out with a 1 3/16" cutting diamter for them? My only reservation in trying them is that they're a smaller head, but I guess the extra blade makes up for that somewhat. I have a feeling it's the flange at the base of the head that makes them fly so well more than they're small diameter. It would be interesting to see how a "wide cut Slick Trick" would fly.

I contacted the manufacturer in the past concerning making a heavier head around 150 grains or so. He thought it would be a great idea and was looking into the possibility. I believe the blades would have a bit larger cutting diamter.

Hi, Just had time to read the first post and the last. As to size, I addressed that in the other thread, and advertise 10 gauge holes because that is the most common remark I hear about them. As to limited advertising and production, that is simply a product of lack of money. I first introduced Tricks as the 2000 bow show and began selling in 2001, and since then the other manufacturers have seen how they outperform, and have tried to compete with their own, as the magazines now call them, "super short heads". But the Alcatraz Bladelock gives Tricks the advantage with all steel 4 blade heads and geometry. As to why bigger companies have not bought me out, it hasn't been from lack of trying. I could post a whos who here, but I won't, wouldn't be ethical and I keep stuff in confidence. It has been hard, I admit, without a huge budget, and I got pneumonia last fall and was so sick Idecided to take an offer, but was so sick I procrastinated, finally got well and am still plugging along, and again have no plans to sell. As to magazines, they are a business, and they don't write about a product much that isn't advertising, but I finally have some ads coming out, and I expect by next yearall the dealerswill stock Tricks. Dealers love them once they find out about them. Anyway, gotta go, THANKS GARY

Gary? THE Gary from Slick Tricks? Wow.... I didn't know you were on this board! I hope you don't mind all the pros/cons threads on your Slick Tricks. They are a really great broadhead! With me and my posts on them, it was just that I have never seen Slick Tricks before and never really heard of them until I saw some threads about them on here. Out of curiosity, I ordered a pack of them. I was originally thinking they would be like a 4 blade Muzzy. That's why I wrote about "these things are teeny" at first, because I was expecting something a little bigger. They do fly amazingly accurate and dead on at any distance! I really like them... I was just wondering they'd be as dangerously sharp as a Magnus Stinger or something along those lines.

Anyway, in my quiver I will be using 2 Slick Tricks and 2 Magnus Stingers and will be picking and choosing between the two.

Thanks again for the great broadheads and keep up the good work!
