Well I hunt in thick woods .I'm shooting a bow.I guess I dont need to range something 550 yards. No I love my cheap yardage pro sport. If I loose it I dont feel like I lost alot.I range find trees for distancewhile sitting in stand then put it up where it wont get wet. Then I know how far target is.Most of my shots are less than twenty yards away.I sit on top of my feeder to hunt hahahahahaha

Bushnell Yardage Pro Trophy...love it! Almost bought the Sport, but love the scan mode. Will probably use it more for Muzzleloader hunting. Will "pre-range" trees and other landmarks while bowhunting though. I learned something when I first started using this thing. I really suck at judging distances. Hopefully, it pays off for me this year.

I got mine and have now had a chance to use it a bit. I am nothing but impressed with it. I took it to the rifle range at the club and it was exactly dead on accurate out to 200 yards. I want to try it to 350 or so since this is the farthest I normally shoot at live animals. I assume it will perform well at those ranges as well.

I just ordered a Nikon Prostaff 440. I have never used a bushnell, but have used a friends 440 and it works great and seems to get the most favorable reviews from the people on here and on AT.com. I picked mine up for $169 new on ebay. It should be here any day now.
