Default Bowhunting in Michigan

My friends and I go to Fletcher's Pond in Michigan each year to chase the elusive bass and pike on the opening day of Bass season. The lake is starting to get overrun with Dogfish and there have always been big carp in the lake. Can anyone tell me about bowfishing regs in Michigan-I might just take the bow along and have some fun while I am 'cleaning' the lake next year.

Okay-if nobody knows the regs for Michigan-can anybody give me the address of the agency that might regulate it in Michigan?

Here's a link to the Michigan DNR fishing website. They list the bowfishing regs. (it's a pdf)

Michigan has a good bowfishing club, its called BAM. Check them out. Your question about fishing and bowfishing....some states don't allow both at the same time. Very often I go out bow fishing plaster a bunch of dogfish and carp and make notes on spots with lots of bass or big sunnies on beds. Then we go back and clean house! You can really learn alot about fish while bowfishing!

Once you start, you can't stop!

Good Luck!
