I've been wanting to buy a new muzzleloader. While checking out the different models a buddy showed me a Winchester Apex. It has a fall away breech similar to the T/C Omega. I'm wondering if anyone has one or at least some info about them. A couple guys I've talked to have one and really like it but most don't know much about them. Any help would be appreciated.

I think they are like the CVA Kodiak ... are they not? I have never held one, only seen a picture of them like others. I personally think for the money they were asking for them there are better rifles out there that I would go after, but if you like the rifle then go for it.... Get what you like.
You might also want to look at the NEF Sidekick... nice rifle, break open design. American Steel and company, and great out of the box shooters from all the reports... just a thought.

The Apex is idential to the CVA kodiak.
I've heard good things about them. But I have also heard that there is some blowback in the breech area and that the overall quality is average and nothing special.
Were my money, I would look to a Thompson Center or Knight or the NEF rifles.
