What kind of other things can he do? It is amazing how something gets so popular after it is discontinued. Do you just order a stock for a Rem 700 SA, and have the ram rod channel milled?

He has some pretty hot rifles in his shop that he has done.we're not going to put a ramrod "ON" my gun,he is going to drill the butt and hook me up with a callapseable ram rod in the butt using the recoil pad from an AR-15,not the most comfortable to shoot but cool nun the less.He is also going to use the magazine well of the stock and use that as a storage area for a couple of speed loaders

Douglas uses the hot button method of rifling, Remington used to use that but has gone to hammer forging. If you look down the outside of the barrel with light at the right angle, you can see what look like waves on a hammer forged barrel. Now the MZ barrels not having to be as tough as smokeless barrels could be button rifled, as I said Remington used to use that method.
