Was wondering if anybody had any info. on Cabelas Hawkin Muzzleloaders?
They seem to be built well, set triggers and most of the specs found by the other guys?
I called customer service and they told me they were produced in Italy by a company that I can't remember now.
The barrel twist is 1:48, will this actually shoot both round & maxiballs good?
If you have some more info on these guns please let me know.
My experience with other Cabelas products has always been good.
Thanks in advance.

Cabela's rifles are made by Investarms. The same people that make Lyman Rifles. In fact the Cabela's Hawkins is a fancy Trade Rifle I was told. Lymans are great shooters. My friend bought a Cabela's .54 caliber and it must be an excellent shooter because deer keep getting killed by it. Actually I have shot his rifle and it is a great gun to shoot. Get the .54 caliber and you have a great sidelock there....

I own a Cabela's (Investarms) Hawken in .54 cal. Boy do I love that gun! It was the only ML I owned for 12 years and I have recovered every deer that I have shot at with it. The workmanship/quality is excellent and it shoots very well. My only criticism is that the sights are not as good as those on the TCs. Overall a fine rifle - I highly recommend them.
