cleaning?

Default cleaning?

is it better to clean a muzzleloader from the breech or from the muzzle? i just got a tc omega and am just wonderign which is easier/ better to clean it from.

At first, I clean my Omega bore 90% with the breechplug still in. Then I use the proper diameter allen wrench to keep the black, plastic firing pin door wide-open. When I remove the plug, I use a few cleaning patches on an elongated black nylon brush you see in stores with the round, finger loop on top of it. Keep spinning that black, nylon brush with the patch to more-easily remove anti-seize grease. When that's 90% clean, I do the whole bore muzzle-down with a regular ramrod.

If you have a TC muzzleloader the rifling does not extend to the crown, so cleaning either way should be fine...
