The sales should be kicking in soon.
Regarding the Savage 10MLII, I'd say this ML is among the top of the ML In-Line food chain.
I don't personally have one, but I've shot and hunted with one. They are very nice and built like a tank! I really like the way the bolt locks the primer in tight.
From what I understand, the "Vent-Liner" on the 10MLII is good for several hundered shots if properly cared for. And they are only a couple of bucks in costs. Every cherry has a pit I suppose.
I've got a line on a New T/C Firestorm with the 209 1:28 config for $182.00.
Looks like a good deal to me. If I can get the finance director to approve the purchase, I'll likely pick up the Firestorm. Although, I have gotten several toys this year...

even if i bought a savage ML i would still only use BP or substitutes in it even though savage claims it can be used with smokeless. heres a picture of a savage ML shot with a quote recommended smokless powder safe load according to savage. The rifle belonged to an aquaintance of a friend of mine back in missouri.

Hopefully no one was injured!
Was that particular weapon returned to Savage for analysis? If so, what were the results?
What was the projectile, powder and load combination?
Not being comfortable with loading smokeless powder, I would also only use BP or Substitutes in the 10ML.
Although I know a guy that does use (alot) of smokeless powder in his 10MLII and loves it with no issues. He is a very experienced reloader though.

I dont know all the details but the shooter was just very shaken up no serious injuries, I dont know what the projectile was but the powder I believe was Hodgdon LIL' gun if i remember correctly.
