pyrodex or 777?

RE: pyrodex or 777?
Started with Goex Black Powder.
Then Pyrodex (both loose and pellets),
Then 777 (both loose and pellets),
I've also shot Pioneer pellets.
Now Black Mag'3.
The most expensive (I paid $29.00 a pound). But the best in terms of performance & cleanliness in my view. I was recommended by a friend/gunsmith to switch to BM'3 after him listening to be bitch about the 777 crud ring. He gave me 1/4 pound to try out and after about 10 shots, I paid him for the 1/4 pound and immediately purchased a pound.
I shoot 120GR with a 300Grain XTP. Very hot load. Shoots very well in my Omega and this combination really lays the lumber to a deer.
They don't run very far or not at all if you shoot them correctly. I hunt a swamp bed and chasing them through the swamp is not my idea of a good time, thus I want the highest ballistics that I can muster.
I'll not shoot anything else until the next better mousetrap becomes available. Which will likely be closer to smokeless powder in terms of cleanliness.
I always opt for performance versus low price when it comes to key components. In fact, I just purchased 3 more pounds of Black Mag'3 as I'm certain that this powder is going to become a strong favorite quickly and demand will exceed supply.
Powder along with just about everything else with muzzleloading = personal preferences.
I doubt there is or ever will be a single answer to anything or for anyone.
Best,
