I used some and really like it. It seems to work really well in my CVA. Better than the loose 777. I shot a much better group and the POI was much closer to my scopes boresighting! Anyone else use the stuff?

I used the old Verion of that powder (CleanShot) and got very good results with the 2fg in my rifle. I found it to be about 5% weaker than Pyro or Black, making it about 20% weaker than 777. THAT may be why it worked so much better for you than 777 - maybe you were pushing your 777 loads to high??
By far, American Pioneer/CleanShot is MUCH cleaner than 777, Pyro, or Black - so there's NO bore crud to worry about when shooting. I had fired over 20 shots one day with no cleaning and no loss of accuracy with CleanShot. However, the powder's one fault is that it is VERY Hygroscopic(?)..............It absorbs moisture VERY easily. You have GOT to keep it sealed and de-humidfied at all times or else it can turn bad in a HURRY. Eventually that is why I switched to 777 - it doesn't seem to be bothered so much by moisture; plus since 777 is more powerful, I use about 20 - 25gr less powder for my average load..............giving me about 15 more shots per pound.

It works if you keep it dry. I've seen it go from instant fire to mis/hangfires while sitting a few hours on my truck seat while I was range-shooting on a humid, misty, 45 degree day.
If you take a few extra loads out hunting for the day, don't return those vials to the powder jug.. shoot em' or toss em'. You also have to watch your warm breast pocket stuffed with those vials of extra pre-measured powder. Don't let those vials get warm, cold, warm again.
The powder works ....but it's tricky to keep dry & fresh. Too much hassle for me - even though my Omega loved the FFF version when it shot it being dry.

APP is great, just use the FFFg loose powder!

I've used clean shot before, both loose and pellets. I thought it worked pretty well, I didn't have any trouble with the powder going bad and I live in Michigan. I even shot the pellets with a musket cap instead of 209 shot primers, no problems. I use 777 now and like it, my buddy is going back to clean shot next year, he doesn't care for the 777. He said it cleans up harder, I don't notice it in my remington.
I like it better than pyrodex, but like said above it is kind of slow when shot loose compared the same volume of pyro or 777. Not always a bad thing though.
