Default T/C Omega Carbine?

I see that Fox Ridge Outfitters sells a T/C Omega Carbine (23.5" barrel) at 6.75 lbs. Does anyone have any experience with this carbine?

Can anyone see any disadvantages with the carbine version of the Omega?

Thanks,
Tony

The question is .... what is the advantage of the carbine? They chop 4.5 inches off the barrel and call it a carbine. I never really saw a shorter barrel as critical. I have carbine rifles, but if I had bought it with the longer barrel that would have been fine too. It was just a great deal at the time of purchase. I did not buy the carbine because it was a carbine. I have a Wolverine II with a 22" barrel if you like a real carbine rifle. I am sure it would be a good shooter.

If it were me, I would just get the standard Omega unless I had a specific need where this shorter barrel would be necessary. I think the Standard model would have better resale value as well. Many people do not like carbine rifles......

Skip

The entire Omega with it's 28" barrel is shorter than your typical 26" barrel bolt-action ML. It's around a foot shorter than the A & H 26" bolt-action. There's no need for a carbine in this model & that's why Fox Ridge has been sitting on those short models for almost two years now.
