finally shot my Omega
I bought an 50.Omega stainless T-hole over the summer, mounted a Burris 3-9x40 ballistic plex (range compinsating reticle) on it , I finally sighted it in over the weekend, I must say this scope was made for this gun. I sighted in the cross hairs at 100 yrds. then moved my target out to 200 yrds. used my bottom hash mark on the reticle and I was nearly dead on.
I was impressed, I started by cleaning the barrel to get any packing oils out , like you guys told me here on the site, then I when to my go to load that has worked well for me in Black Diamond , 100 gr. of pyrodex under a 250 gr. Shockwave I spent alot of time and shots getting the scope sighted and started to run out of supplies.
I will say that the Shockwaves did take a little muscle to load and I was swabbing after ever shot.
Next weekend I will be back at the range with more supplies and really see how tight of a group I can get .
I also need to try loading a second shot after not swabbing.
Overall I was impressed with this gun/scope combination , and the complimates that I got from other guys that were there about the stock was icing on the cake.

RE: finally shot my Omega
I've got the same setup (although you didn't mention rings and bases). The ballistic plex reticle is awesome for hunting. With my load (at 9X) the first bar is my 200 yd. aiming point although the impact point isn't exactly there. My rifle accounted for 3 deer from friday the 19th to Sunday the 21st with one 201 yd shot in there.
