I recently purchased a cva kodiak from bass pro shops online after questioning a local gun dealer about converting it to percussion caps. He said no problem getting it converted. In Idaho we can't use 209 ignition. Come to find out after I now have the kodiak the local shop tells me it can't be converted. Does anyone have any knowledge about this gun? Is there any possible way to convert it?

Call CVA and tell them of the problem. In my Staghorn all I do is remove the 209 breech plug, replace it with a different breech plug which then holds a #11 or musket nipple. The musket nipple provides an excellent fire into the breech....

No way to convert it! Take the rifle back to the dealer that sold you a bill of goods... oops I mean lies!
When you get that mess straightened out. come back here -- start a new thread on help finding such a gun & we will direct you to inlines with #11/musket nipples.
