Default T/C Service Department Delivers

Last year, I posted a thread about issues I was having with my Encore. Ever since it was new, the barrel wobbled a bit due to a loose hinge pin. As a result, the gun wouldn't group worth a crap. It just didn't matter what powder/bullet combination I tried, it was all over the paper.
I had to make due with it during last year's muzzleloader season but this year, I decided to send it back to them for repair. They corrected the problem and I had the gun back within 3 weeks.
Yesterday, I shot it and was thrilled with the results. I shot T/C 250 grain XTP's with 100 grains of Pyrodex and was cutting holes with it.
Their service department is tough to beat. Come on muzzleloader season!

jimbo, i too just got my omega back from t/c it took less then a week and a half to get back from the time i shiped it ,, my gun was almost impossible to load from the day i bought it if you did not use lube you did not load the damn thing, but i have it back now and it is good as new , but while t/c was fixing my omega i looked at a knight revalution wow was i impressed it was much more solid then the omega and shoulderd alot better and the trigger housing was easier to remove and was all much easier to clean and seems to be a simpler made gun and in my opinion a better riffle but never shooting this gun (knight) i dont know how it shoots . thinking about buying one just to have it and selling my omega for like 350 if i can i got the stainless with camo.. let me know if you know anything about the knight

Dr. Kill- I really don't know anything about the Knight muzzleloaders, other than they're pretty popular. If I already had an Omega like you do, I'd probably hold onto it unless I had some extra money to toss around.
I tell ya, the Encore sure is a good feeling gun if that's what you're looking for.

It’s always nice to read a “T/C is great post, but... [:@]

I had the proverbial “exception to the rule” experience with T/C customer service last year. I encountered down right incompetence with T/C customer service last year and as a bonus I got to pay shipping. To their credit they did eventually set things right, but T/C will not get anymore of my $$.

I've been with TC for 15 years, and have used their lifetime warranty for several high dollar issues...finest firearms warranty service organization there is.

Not saying there isn't a "clerk" (jerk?) every few years who isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but month in/month out, year in/year out TC's service is second to none

I second what Roundball says. I own five Thompson Center rifles. One reason I buy them is because of the warranty. If you have a problem, they will for the most part fix it. They are also great if you have a question. Call them on the phone and they have a Tech on line with you talking you through the problem.

Any organization can get a bad representative, the thing to remember is the company that stands behind their stuff usually cleans out the bad apples fast.

I have an old T/C Thunder Hawk. About 5 yrs ago I needed a bolt spring and other related parts. I called T/C service, in 3-4 days had the parts at NO charge. Cannot beat their service. On the other hand I have a Knight .45 disk. I love the gun, never a problem. I called them and e-mailed when I purchased the gun(hottest new smoke pole on the market at time). Bottom line - They can't hold a candle to T/C service !!
