Default Opening Day

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the advice I have been reading for the past 2-3 monthes. Tomorrow is opening day in KS, and I feel very confident with my gun since I have a 3-ring notebook of information I got from this forum!! A big thanks to everyone and good luck when your opening day comes.

I had a great time. I got up in my stand about 30 minutes before 1st light. In the wooded area next to me, there were 5-7 coyotes howling and running around. So it was fun to watch and listen to them. An hour or so later 5 whitetail does walked up the fence line I was on and went right under me and never knew I was there. I got some good pictures of those. That is all I saw Saturday. I got out of my stand around 3 cause I had a family deal I had to get to Saturday evening. On Sunday morning, I got there the same time. Around 8:30- 9:00, 3 mulie does and a 4 by 4 mulie buck walked up that same fence line towards me. They got within 200-250 yards and a farmer hauling cattle drove by about 1/4 mile away and spooked one of the little does so they all took off. My heart sank when she did! I can't go out again till December's rifle season now, because of my schedule. So that is killing me. But even though I never got to shoot my blackpowder at any deer, I still had the time of my life. It was great to be out there in the middle of no where and see, smell, and hear everything. I am looking forward to December now!! Hope everyone has better luck than me.

I thought about that, but I like the open sights. It makes this challenging game even more challenging I think.
