A good friend got one last year ,seems to be good . looks like any other H&R ,not pretty but as tough as nails. We put a red dot on it , at 75 yds just under a inch ,with him shooting ,first load tryed and only 8 shots in .Only rated for 100 gr. . It is "quick" to reload with the primer holders.

They might be only rated for 100 grains but most of the inlines I shoot, I never go over that anyway. There are some excellent rifles out there for sale. I have handled the H&R Huntsman but do not own one. And they would not let me shoot it. [&o] I watched them shooting the Huntsman and was impressed with the groups they were shooting. I think the Huntsman and the New England Firearms are one and the same.....
If you can get your hands on one and shoulder it. Many years ago I owned a sweet little New England Arms 12 gauge and .410. Sold them both but they were nice shooting shotguns. I guess that is why I was drawn to looking at their muzzleloaders.

Thanks for the replies. I want to get into muzzleloading for deer this year with a minimal investment. I know that new england firearms makes a good shot gun. I was just looking for feed back on their muzzleloaders. Thanks. I think this what I will go with.
