Them Realtree boys.
I'll admit that I watch the Realtree tv show, Realtree Roadtrips, and the Monster Bucks video series.
It seems folks either love'm or hate'm.
Anyway, over the years I've seen them take some huge deer with the T/C Encore. I emailed them and asked their favorite load. They answered saying 50 caliber, 3 pyrodex pellets, and a 240 grain saboted slug. COOL![8D]

If the Encore has a 26" or better bbl. I would agree . A shorter bbl. won't allow all of the powder to burn . I use 250 grain T/C JHP sabots with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS in a .54 caliber inline . The gun can take 120 grains , but a good chunk of it comes out of the muzzle of it's 24" bbl. , so I scaled back to 100 grains .
