So on a new purchase, do the gun (or plug) come with the tool to seat the BP?

The tool does not come with a new gun because the factory has already seated the plug properly. Only the new pellet plug/replacement bh209 plugs come with the tool so you can snug it down. It takes very little to seat the new plug so if you by some chance dont get the tool, the pipe wrench of vice grips work fine as well.

I use the handle on pliers. I put it in the groove the tool goes in, and tighten the BP that way. Simple.

It comes with the BP. I've gotten 3 of them. You won't get one from Carlos. That's how he sells them cheaper.

The Western BP comes with the tool, a drill, and a pin vise to hold the drill.

CVA just comes with the tool.

If you don't get one someone grabbed it.

Actually I just looked on the website and under the black nitride plug it states in red that it does NOT come with the tool. I'd have to email CVA and ask whats up with that.

I never got one of those. Not sure why it should be different, but who knows with CVA?
