i wouldnt knock that steel tipped bullet, it seems some think deer these days are bullet proof and that armor piercing, air plane shootin down at 35,000 feet, bullet is just the ticket for puttin down a 120lb deer!

I guess a steel tip is one way to prevent them from acting like a varmint bullet and fragmenting 99% of the time. At $4 a bullet and the fact they would be illegal here, i will have to pass.

A cheaper bullet that reliably expands yet still retains well over 80% of its weight is far more preferable for deer hunting. I cant imagine paying $2 a bullet or more for one that does neither.

Please provide evidence your statement is true. Never have i ever seen anything written anywhere saying bullets that work good in media, are bad to use for hunting.

Further, why do you call my simple testing method a torture test. All that is done is to place a small piece of carpet in front of a small piece of plywood, in front of some water jugs. Just a simple man trying to simply replicate a hunting scenario.
