Default Alrighty then

I finally found a deer that requires the use of those super duper premium muzzleloader bullets.

I'll start the test using the Lehigh XP. I'll bet impact creates breath-loss for that deer.... for at least 1.... maybe 1-1/2 minutes.....lol

I will. I just posted to see the reaction because of the flack going on lately. It will either lighten the mood a bit or throw gas on the fire. Not sure which.
Maybe this is a post that the Weasel should have put on. Don't you think so Semisane?

No flak really bronko. It's just 95%ers discussing this sport with the 5%ers. It's The Clique talking ML'ing with the non-Cliquers.

No big deal really. Even the most hollow-minded rocket scientist on earth would have guessed a 5% wouldn't want a 95%ers bullets to test. Especially since they were all lead, which the Clique and 5%ers don't use anymore.

I was barking up the wrong tree - sensed it / knew it, hoping for a gathering of hands / a come together so-to-speak. This board has really changed in the past several years. Diversity-No-More exists here.

Done with this. Enjoy your day Bronko.

You really need to pay better attention. I shoot lead conicals and ive got some big lead 50s for 54cal sabots. I think they are fantastic on game. Sabotloader shoots them every year and recommends them often. Chet seems quite fond of the 260gr DeadCenter and several conicals. Grouse likes atleast a couple of the heavier PR bullets.

No, we probably don't recommend little tiny soft lead bullets unless its for a youth load or a load for a small woman.

Nice to read some mention of your 54. Nobody wants to talk old-school ML'ing around here anymore. When I mentioned lead, I was driving the sabot bus. Last 5% to mention using an all-lead bullet here to harvest deer (or even on a range visit) was Grouse around late January or-so.

See, there you go. I give credit for possible discussion on a old-school Hawkens-type 54 and you produce another inline. No diversity here anymore..... Hear an echo in here?

Had that been my rifle, I would have shot that photo 10 seconds after applying that stock with Ballistol. Shine-Shine-Shine.

Beautiful 54-cal there GM. I miss my Rolling Block inline 54. One thing I notice on yours....... your buttstock appears to be a long ways off from the eyeball of that scope. I'm guessing you have at least 5" of eye relief there.

Get them to make a Traditional section. Im all for it. A smokeless section would be nice too.

A little over 4" on the lowest magnification https://www.redfield.com/_media/down...n_2-7x33mm.pdf
