There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity.

Yes, one could argue that using gunpowder without the proper knowledge is stupid; that's semantics.

Many assumptions; what are the facts?
Messing with something explosive that you are ignorant about is stupidity in my book .

As I stated-semantics.

It's the internet and everybody is an expert on everything all the time, I get that.

IMO- dogpiling an injured guy nobody knows, here on a public forum, for an incident we have minimal facts about is, to me, ignorant & reflects poorly on us as fellow sportsman.

Ignorant is the definition of not knowing what you're doing. In this case he was stupid for being ignorant.

Nobody who shoots a gun should be ignorant about gun safety. He should have known what he was doing, and by the looks of the gun, he didn't. No excuses will change that.

Personally, I think they should be banned and pulled off the racks wherever they're available. You wanna shoot smokeless powder, buy a centerfire rifle and keep smokeless powders out of the realm of muzzleloading...PERIOD.

Hopefully the moron that did this doesn't hire some high dollar lawyer that launches a campaign to eliminate all muzzleloading firearms because it's "too easy to get confused as to what powders can or cannot be used". And if it happens, a big thanks to all of you who support smokeless powders in muzzleloading firearms!!

LOL guys like you make me laugh! Unless you shoot a smoothbore, self poured lead ball wrapped in pillow ticking, homegrown blackpowder thru a 58cal flintlock, you have NO business being so condescending of "smokeless poles" because other than a simple powder type, they are NO different than anyother modern inline! My bassboat does 90mph and I have a vintage 454 Chevelle in the garage as well. If some brainless moron kills himself on the lake in a fastboat or on the highway in his high powered car I suppose you want those banned as well??? By your flawed logic it's MY fault this whackjob blew his ignorantazz up with smokeless in his BlackKnight? Sounds like GREAT LOGIC there, "keep it stupid for the ignorant!"
