I have a TC express rifle. It has two sets of rear sights that you can sight for different distances. It has a pretty long barrel and as near as I can measure it has a 1 in 48 twist. I have shot one deer with it which dropped in its tracks. I was shooting 90 grains of Pyrodex Select and a 260 grain Speer 45 caliber hollow point pistol bullets. I have never seen another rifle like this one. Has anyone else had one of these or know anything about them? I have really never put it through its paces but plan to shoot it more this year. Thanks. It is a fifty caliber.

In talking to a fellow that used to work for Cabelas I think this rifle was a Cabelas excluusive which makes some sense sinc I bought it at a Cabelas store. I would say since I have had both that it is the New England rifle with a faster twist barrel. It appears to be a very High quality made firearm.

Is this the double barrel your talking about? I saw them I believe in their catalog. I think Cabelas called them a Kodiak Express Rifle. They would have a Pedersoli barrel I think which is a good rifle. A person I know has one in .54 caliber but I have never seen it or shot it. I just heard about it at the local watering hole. He said it shoots good although after 75 yards the point of aim crosses because it is a double barrel. I always thought that would be a nice rifle to own, just to shoot.

No its just a single barrel. I always wanted a double also. I many times carry two rifles. I have this one and a TC Woods Rifle. It came just before the Black Diamond. Its a tack driver with 2 pellets and a 300 grain Hornady XTP.
