Took the savage out yesterday morning while it was cool.I think I have it ready to hunt with allready.
Zeroed it in 1 1/2 inch high @100 shot a 1.091 in group,shot a 1.741 in group at 200 with a3 1/2 in drop.Was using those big old 250 gr sst' s.
those deer better sneak acrooss the power line well hidden.

I reckon so Herman. Aren' t you ashamed of yourself? Hey, if it' s legal - use it. But I think the Savage may be pushing things a bit and over my own personal line. Unless somebody gave me one.
I think I would still use my White. Muzzleloading just isn' t without that plume of smoke, even if it' s from T7.

If I liked them big old bullets and had a white that shot like yours does I would sell all my high power rifles.
Season opens here inthe mtns Monday for a week, will use the encore then, then maybe use the savage when it opens down in the centeral part, when hunting the power line.
Think I' ve given up on the T7 untill I get another brain storm anyhow.
Good luck to you and hope you get a big one.

You too Herman. Our regular firearms season doesn' t open ' til mid November but starting then I' ll have a total of over 30 days to wander about with muzzleloader in hand. I' m fairly sure the White will see the most use, but I might hunt using the Huntsman or an Encore a few days. I don' t even use my centerfires anymore. Not as much fun.
I' ve seen " the big one" twice now in the last couple of weeks. Haven' t had a real good look as it' s been near pitch dark both times I saw him and his near equal companion. The archery boys may get one or both of them, but that' s fair enough ' cause I used to hang around in those trees before the Big C made me hang up the bow. There should still be that ol' big boy out on the 160 acre place I hunt. He was there last year, at least for a brief visit. He would have gone 180+ then. He might have grown up since then.

I have got to bow hunt 5 whole days now but haven' t seen a deer in the woods yet, only one bear,2 copperheads and a black snake.Went last Sat,have to go through a small town there was 3 bucks ,all spikes standing next to the fire department in the middle of town.
The doc wrote me a form to get a cross bow but I figured as heavy and awkard as they were that would be worse than shooting my bow one time if I get a shot at one.I can still shoot it pretty good but it works on my back and where they put a by-pass in.It' s hell to get old but I have enough memorys to last 2 life times.
The biggest one I have taken here weight wise was 250 lb 8-pointer,most of the deer here are pretty small, with all the hunters most don' t get past 2 yrs old.Hopefully I will see Mr. big next week.
