about flyers using power belt bullet
I tried the powerbelt bullets in my 50 @ 54 ca. m/l and for some strange reason I all ways had a flyer in a group of 3 to 4 shots some flyers were about a 10 inch difference on paper at the 100 yard target it will drive you to drink
I start thinking is it me ,or the scope turn out to be the powerbelts
The bullet I use now are made by percision and the flyers are gone for good
Another outlook is going to loose powder I like pyrodex select and also think there is only so much you can get out of the gun to burn powder I would say anything past 120 grains of select is going out of the barrel unburn and have to give credit to those guy' s who shoot a 100 grains of triple 777 my max. load with triple 777 is 75 grains.
recoil with a 100 grains of triple 777 has to be sharp and I do not favor recoil. What I would recommend is clean the m/l really well j@b bore cleaner compound change to loose powder start at the midrage powder charge spit patch between shots then a dry patch ,change bullets maybe to percision sabot and see what happens if all still fails I would send the gun back to the manufacture.good luck guy' s

I do know Firebolts have a flat breechplug end that pellets don' t prefer. The best breechplugs for pellets are the deep well/concave plugs.
I also know flat breechplugs don' t prefer hot 209 primers. If you put your ramrod all the way in the barrel without any jags or brushes -- then fire a Federal 209 primer with the barrel level -- the ramrod will suddenly have wings & discharge from the barrel. Also, hot primers igniting will push the bullet off the powder charge a mili-second b/4 the powder ignites.
All these things cause poor accuracy. Buy " cool" CCI 209 primers. Do not buy the CCI-M (magnum) primers. CCI primers are not usually hanging next to the hotter Winchesters & Remingtons in the bp accessories aisle. This brand of primer, for some strange reason, are usually kept behind the counter where centerfire primers, bullets & smokeless powder are kept.

I agree with lone wolf. Bye-bye Bore Butter! And, as much as I hate to admit it, Power Belts don' t shoot well in some guns. However, you may be seeing the results of plastic fouling buildup in your barrel from the Power Belt plastic gascheck wads. This has never happened to any of my guns, but I' ve had that problem with some sabot brands, so it is possible.
After you clean out all powder fouling, try some kind of strong solvent to remove the plastic buildup. NEVER use Bore Butter to lube a bore when you wipe between shots in the field or at the range. Pyrodex should NOT require cleaning between shots! Hodgdon recommends NO wiping with Pyrodex. Other powders, particularly black, DO require wiping. The more you use in each charge, the more wiping becomes necessary!

UPDATE: i finally found a bullet my rifle likes, its the hornady sabot w/200gr xtp bullet. off hand at around 65-70 yrds, no scope, i' m getting a 4 in, 5 shot group with 90 grains pyrodex. now you' re probably thinking " oooh, driving nails" (sarcasm), but if you seen how this thing shot before you' d know why i think this is good.as far as not cleaning between shots with pyrodex, i do anyway. it looks pretty filthy after a shot, so i figure it wouldnt hurt. now i just need to add a scope and a little fine tuning and ill be set. thanks for all the input from you fellas.
UCO, try something other than a powerbelt

Thank you guys for all the advice and input. Next chance I get to shoot I will put into consideration all the things you all have advised. Thanks again. One more question: How often do you all recommend I thoroughly clean my bore when I use a spit patch then a dry patch between every shot?

UCObaseball that correct after every shot spit patch
UCO what I do is a little spray bottle of plain water a little spray of water not soaked will work on the patch then followed by a dry patch
GOOD LUCK
