So you like lever actions? I have only one. But it's a sweet one.

Semi, I'm looking for one of them too. They are nice. And the .357/.38 spl is perfect for dispatching ground hogs, yotes and similar varmints.
But alas, it looks like you bastardized that poor little lever as you did the sinful sinters!!!. But don't worry, I understand. Tis better with poor old eyes to scope and kill rather than not scope and mame. BTW, that stock has the most gorgeous wood I've ever seen on a lever gun. |
I bought it last September. My son is a auto mechanic. He told me about a customer of his that had a .357 Marlin in his closet for years, new in the box - never been fired, that he wanted to sell. I've always wanted one, so I contacted the guy to check it out. It was indeed new in the box, with original factory grease. After a little negotiating I got it for $450 which I think was a bargain.

Nice gun semi. Take off all those frills, and it's a nice gun for CAS. :)

Semi, does she hold 10? |
It must. They use that gun in CAS. I believe it shoots .38's too. That's what they would use in CAS.
I always loved the 44-40, so I couldn't use any Marlins. I had to spring for the Uberti Winchesters. |
With .357's it's 8 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. With .38's it's 9 in the tube and 1 in the chamber.
|
Hmmmm.....that wouldn't work. You can't have one in the chamber until you lever one in at the station.
|
If you hold a cartridge or two in your hand it's real easy to stick one in the loading gat during a course of fire. But you would lose a second or two.
