One thing that upsets me in Colorado is the blaze orange they make us wear. The orange is fine, and i'd want to wear it anyhow. The problem is it has to be straight orange. We can't break it up with any kind of pattern. Game see it as a solid color and not natural.

Bow hunters don't need to use blaze orange. How does that make sense? The ML season is right in the middle of archery season. We have to wear orange, and they don't, and we're both hunting the same areas for the same game. I don't get it?

Amen to that...it's the same in VA. The problem is not the blaze orange, is the blob of solid color that will tip an animal off. The break up pattern on the orange does NOT make you less visible to other hunters. Blaze orange is blaze orange. Tree branches on it aren't going to make the blaze color less visible to another hunter. If it does than they should outlaw hiding behind brush.

For the purposes of hiding from deer, I'd rather wear a whole suit of this stuff than Realtree or Mossy Oak and no blaze orange.

Here in Ohio archery season runs from Sept to Feb, but during any season where guns are also allowed you MUST wear blaze orange. It can be solid or "camo hunter orange".

Hunter Orange Requirement Hunting any wild animal (except waterfowl) from 1/2 hour before sunrise to sunset during the youth deer gun season, deer gun season, deer gun weekend (Dec. 17 & 18), the statewide muzzleloader deer season, and on designated areas during the early muzzleloader deer season is unlawful unless the hunter is visibly wearing a vest, coat, jacket, or coveralls that are either solid hunter orange or camouflage hunter orange. This requirement applies statewide on both public and private land.

You sure get a long season for archery. They only get 1 month here. Still better than our 9 days for ML.

Colorado has some strange laws. I used to complain about no sabots here, but I got to thinking about it. If they allowed sabots. They also have to allow .45 for elk. Otherwise you'd have to shoot a .54 cal to use sabots.

Oh well.

Sitting on our food plot field.... everytime ..you turn this thing off within a few minutes some doe will blow and the field clears. If you leave it running they will just feed. Does carbon type clothes work? It cant hurt. But on the other hand a lot of big deer have been killed by someone in jeans smoking a cig. So play the wind and hunt
Ha Ha, Funny you should mention that....I saw it on the (CRUSH) I think with Lee and Tiffany......Tiffany's so HOT aint She I have to watch that one
It would be Great if it really did what it says it does, but I dont have one and probably wont buy one so I cant comment on it, but I will take a educated guess and say that it's another gimmik to make someone else Rich. Deer Downwind of you and they dont smell you......they never really say on the commercial Exactly How far Downwind the Deer actually is though do they?? But if you say it works and your Buddies believe in it than thats Great, Im still not convinced that that thing can disperse all your Human Oder......If the Makers of Ozonics are reading this, send Me a Free one to try and if it works I'll eat My Hat

We can wear whatever we want during our ML Seasons, and for Our Late ML Season I wear Snow Camo if there's Snow on the Ground of course and there usually is. I'vr had My Buddies walk right by me while I was tucked away on the Ground and never saw me at feet away, it does seem to help hide myself from the Deer too, but only with the Snow Camo.
I do wear a Blaze Orange Hat when Im leaving at Night after the Hunt, I dont need to get taken out by someone who has'nt taken a Deer all Season and is getting Desperate
But if we had to wear so many Inches of Blaze Orange during our ML Seasons I dont think it would make a difference, only in your Mind, and Yes if it was the Break-Up Blaze Orange, I Hate Solid Colors.

When I first started deer hunting I was crazy about scent control and bought the scent-lock clothes, etc. I killed some deer doing this. However, as time went on I guess I got lazier and lazier and stopped being so fanatical about it, and didn't always wear my fancy scent-absorbing clothes. And guess what, I still killed deer.

Now I really don't mess around with any of that stuff. I still wear camo, but sometimes even skip on that. And I still kill deer. One thing though, I usually hunt from a tree stand and that helps a lot. I guess I haven't been able to see enough of a difference to justify all the money and time it takes to cover up your scent.

I've hunted in blue jeans, flannel, or Carharts for 25 years, I'm not conviced you need camo, just be still.
