Something is wrong when you can shoot factory loads of magnum CF ammo cheaper than a ML.

Since you're basically reloading a ML every time. It's way cheaper to shoot CF guns if you reload.

What's wrong with this picture?

Not sure what that has to do with this thread, but you are using larger projectiles and more powder with a BP gun. Makes sense that it would cost more per shot than if you are reloading for centerfire.

Yeah how many peeps you know shooting 250gr bullet out of a 308? So, 150gr bullet and 42gr of smokeless vs a 250-300gr bullet and 100-150gr of BP or (often enough) a sub.

What's wrong is that a pound of any common smokeless powder costs $20 or less and ten ounces of Blackhorn is in the $30 neighborhood.

True, but I was comparing to a big magnum. 250gr bullets are common.

A .308 would be a bigger difference.

My point is, the ML industry is beating us up with the prices. It was one of the big reasons for me to go back to a PRB. I lost a lot of range, but I can do way more shooting. Mo shootin..Mo fun.

Of course if I was Jon. I'd have ammo up the kazoo for free. I'd start a forum and get free stuff, but nobody would join.

You mean like Omega45?

btw I never said I was leaving. I said I was going to stop posting. Which I did.

I've only found one forum that won't let you talk about anything post 1840. Pretty refreshing.

Got my new GPR today. Watch...no responce.

Congratulations on your Buck. As far as the bullet???? If you like it, that's all that matters. A big hole and the Deer only went 10 yards, works for me.
