Mighty fine Chaded. You've got to be itching for a range session.

The pictures aren't bad. What scope are you going to use? I have a silver prostaff on my Traditions Pursuit II and the colors don't contrast too much. The rifle is more gray than silver.

Yeah ive been itching pretty bad to go shoot. I havnt shot a muzzleloader for around 2 months. Ive resorted to using a shotgun to shoot these deer on my nuisance permit i have. Im thinking im going to put the bushnell doa 250 on it.

nice setup, i got the same one in 50. Ive been thinking about getting a 45 too as a backup, its my understanding you can extend you distance on out a bit with the 45 and its more accurate, is that true? Does that barrel allow you to use 150 grains of powder?

I believe you can use magnum loads in the bergara barrel. If im wrong i know someone will correct me. I also believe you can get a little flatter shooting gun with the .45 and lighter bullets then the 50 but some will argue with that and also argue with knock down capability. I only shoot whitetail so im not worried and its also legal to use a .45 here in ohio where some states dont allow it.

Well, you are shooting a .45 with those funny plastic wrapped bullets out of you .50.
