Jay, you hit the nail on the head.Knight will either stay small and sell upper end guns or get into the ATM market and compete and become bigger.both will be very hard to do in the worst economy since the great depression.IMHO they could include blue/black synthetic stocks, which makes them a little more affordable and help increase sales some immediately.lets face it Stainless and fluting doesn't make there rifles shoot any better.with all the techno coatings for blued rifles, stainless steel isn't really needed.Knight even applies it to there rifles now, which says something for these coatings IMHO.also light weight break action rifles are what the vast majority of buyers want and not bolts.IMHO Knight missed the boat on break action rifles and it eventually broke them.Knight also has to compete with T/C and CVA in the advertising arena also or fail.they have a big uphill climb and i hope they make it.. Until we get young folks involved in hunting,,I can't see the benefit of even agruing who has the biggest muzzleloading penis. :bash:

I have 4 of my 8 kids shooting a muzzleloader. ages 9,10,12,and 13. The other 4 will begin when they are a little older.My 9 year old girl already asked for a Muzzleloader and a deer tag for her birthday because she will be 10 in August and will be eligible to hunt in September. My kinda girl. I am sure she will get her birthday wish. I have a Knight Little Horn in pink camo on order for her.

Actually the other 4 are 4,5,7,and 8.:D I got started on muzzleloaders 37 years ago but didn't get started on kids til I was 41. Everybody thinks they are my grandkids but they aren't. :D

After speaking with a few people at Knight Rifles, they could care less who's bigger. They just want to be better. When the people get there new Mountaineers, and the others see and use the Mountaineer. 90% will agree they have easily accomplished being better then anything else offered on the market today.

I usually have several complaints about all Muzzleloaders. This one so far is spot on.

I made a mistake on the trigger. It's not a true Timney trigger. It's pretty much a copy of it. The Brother of the owner of Timney makes them. The last true Timney trigger was in the MK85.
