I am impressed with the velocities you got.
The velocities are the thing that will continue to drive my interest in this powder. Also I want to give it a fair shake on accuracy, which I can do at a later date.

Hope as the powder becomes more widely distributed, more reports and testing information will become available and move past the two manufacturer restrictions.

Im guessing the larger 52cal bore would be enough to offset a Lehigh or other 275gr bullet. Ive got some 220gr bullet i can compare to some 200gr bullets when i try it in my 45cal.

The powder is limited to 250grn bullets and lighter because of pressure. The powder is creating alot of pressure. I would not push the limits to much with out finding out more info. I wouldn't trust the sabots either. I never thought that was a reliable way to read pressure.

Like GM said, a 52caliber would relieve some of that pressure. A 45 would just increase it.

Another nice thing about BH209, it works on less pressure thru the bore then 777 of equal volume.

If it will not shoot accurately with 100gr of powder then high velocity gets thrown out the window.

I hope you do get it to shoot accurately. It's definitely affordable even when ordered online as a few of us have found out.

I have made arrangements to give my bottle away.

They are far better than any other APP that i remember using and that includes GOEX Pinnacle, which was made by APP.

Also I don think they are sp low as to trash the powder as another garden fertilizer. There really may be a place for this powder... maybe

One thing we have found out is that APP is possibly placing the restrictions on the powder since it can be started with a #11 cap and may be used in guns other than a modern day inline. Their thought was that 100 grains of their new powder will equal the power of 150 grains of regular BP, excluding Swiss and the Pyros. So their restrictions may be in place to protect themselves from the liabilties of someone shooting older guns, especially some of the imported guns.

My next try out will be in a 50 cal DISC Elite with the 275 grain Lehigh.

O45 - I want to work with it just a bit more before I go that route...

Your test proved to me one more time that BH 209 is most consistent powder you can buy at the moment.

No competition so far.
