Ray, even with American Pioneer or JSG, Pyrodex RS, I still get a crud ring with the W209 primers.

APP or JSG shoots better in a CVA shooting Powerbelts than it does in a T/C or Knight. Don't forget that>

Doubt it. On the other hand, the Powerbelts shooting better in a CVA statement probably does hold water.

Now this may sound crazy but the last HOT primer i used last year with APP 2f, was the federal 209a primer it believe it or not, i had zero crud ring in the barrel. I dont know if its because i lost a lot of the heat due to my head spacing being loose and fouling up the action or what, but i'd be interested in seeing how the federal primer works with the new powder.

Jon, the CR isn't what i am talking about, it's the groups he got. on MM he posted pics today shot from that same rifle with the good powder lol and all i can say is it's a SHOOTER.now ask yourself why they claim you can shoot a bazzilion rounds with JSG and no swabbing. if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a damn duck lol.. Well it just figures. I did not get my hopes up very much; I tried to get APP and JSG to shoot for two years it would shoot decent for a while then the next can would not. Never did figure out if its poor design or lack of quality control.
