Default Barnes expanders

Does anyone know why these bullets will not fit down my barrel.
I have an Austin&Halleck muzzleloader. Everything else I try fits just fine. The Barnes are super tight. So tight I hate to try to beat them down the barrel.

Give Barnes a call at 1-800-574-9200. Good luck.

Barnes sabot/bullets cater to Knight rifles which are generally overbore ..ie...502.

My suggestion is to continue using the bullet in another manufacturer' s sabot.

The Barnes MZs are the tightest bullet I' ve ever tried to load. Even in my Knight, I have to make an appointment with my Dr. for a hernia check after loading a few of them [] !!

The newer ones are supposed to be easier to load. They slightly reduced the sabot thickness in them. Look for the packages with a little oval sticker on them that say something to the effect of " easier loading" . If you don' t see the oval - either leave them in the store or be prepared to start " pumping iron" !!
