Well, it works out to about the samething that MMP charges for a 50 pack from them. I just got some Harvester .475/50 sabots and thet were close to $7 per 50...

Not saying I like the price but I think I can live with it.... I use that same reasoning for not buying BH - it is to expensive to shoot.... Thank gosh for Cabelas sale a week or so ago....

No its not a bad price. i used to pay $7 + an hour drive just to buy a couple packages of the black sabots the local store used to have.

Have any of you guys tried the 350 grn red hots with the grey sabot? These shot better than the purple sabot bullets in my Big Horn. 45 cal barnes MZ I believe.

The Harvester 50x475 sabot and either the GoldDot 275gr or XTP 325gr are quite interesting to shoot. The 325gr with 120gr is a thumper and holds up really well in my media. The GoldDot seems a tad more accurate but not enough to matter.

The one thing ive noticed is both will throw a flier regardless of the amount of powder. It seems like i always get 2 touching and 1 about an inch and a half away from the other 2. Usually higher and to the right even with a long cool down time.

Right now my Extreme 50 is sighted in dead on at 100yards with the XTP .475 325gr and 110gr. Recoil isnt that bad but it does have noticeably more muzzle jump than my preferred 300gr 50x45 loads.

On my next outing im going to try some 120gr+ in a few rifles and get ready for deer season. Got to burn some of that cheaper BH209 before i go insane.

Shucks Gm, that's not a flyer. It's a 1.5 inch group. Shoot a five shot group and I'd bet they will be fairly evenly dispresed in a two-in circle.

Thats on a good one. Sometimes its a little further. It just never fails...2 touch and 1 is usually up and to the right. And always to the right too. They load fairly easy and almost every sabot will lose all of its petals which isnt surprising at all. Ive only recovered 2 because they are so hard to see. The MMP Orange usually loses all or 3 or its petals too but shoot fine. I dont consider petal loss a failure, it seems some are designed to shed them.
