I'm almost ready to take the new rig to the range for sight in.
New Gun - Check - CVA Accura V2
New Scope - Check - Nikon Omega BDC
New powder - Check - 100g Blackhorn 209
Old Powder - Check - 777 pellets, I still have a brand new box
Primers - TBD - Winchester W209, Strong enough for the BH209?
Bullets - Barnes TBD
After much research and some personal experiences I will not use PB's I don't care what the mfg says. I have been using SW's in TC Encore .45 with good results but would like to extend my range and have more knock down power.
I hunt whitetail in farm country so a long field shot is possible, I also hunt sika deer in the MD swamps and you need some real knockdown power to drop those lil buggers.
I've decided on trying some Barnes Sabots but I'm confused on which one is used for what. Looks like there is 4-5 to choose from.
Any advice on a nice place to start?

I would highly recommend the 290 gr TMZ. I have taken a lot of deer with them, several long shots. Performance is excellent. If your gun is slightly under bore they make a T-EZE . I won't say it is the best bullet out there because that would draw a lot of answers saying otherwise, but it is ON E of the best bullets I ever used in my muzzys. Never had a deer go over 20 yards when hit with one. They have shot accurate out of my Triumph, my Knights, My Genesis and My Accura. ( yes I have an Accura MD

Chetmarks,
Can you please clarify which bullet (TMZ or T-EZE) you have been using in your Triumph? I cannot complain about the shockwaves out of my Triumph or even the PowerBelts from CVA Kodiak Mag. However, I am extremely intrigued by the Barnes family of bullets and would love to give them a try. I need to use up some of the forementioned bullets (RANGE SESSION EXCUSE)!!!! I was wondering what type of bullets weight, powder load, accuracy, yardage, etc... I realize every gun is different, but I too would enjoy having a general starting point.

1)Use Magnum primer when using Blackhorn 209 (CCI-M or Fed 209A)
2) If you have a tight barrel use orange sabot (250MZ) or T-EZ Blue sabots..250 or 290 grain. (tight fitting barrel)
3) If the above bullet/sabot loads too easy, try MZ with the black sabots (HPH-12). (Medium barrel)
4) If you have a loose barrel use the TMZ with supplied yellow sabot.250 or 290.
(loose fitting barrel)
In my experience, my ML's like a tighter fit, I use a T-handle ram to seat my bullets. Good luck.
