I'm almost ready to take the new rig to the range for sight in.

New Gun - Check - CVA Accura V2
New Scope - Check - Nikon Omega BDC
New powder - Check - 100g Blackhorn 209
Old Powder - Check - 777 pellets, I still have a brand new box
Primers - TBD - Winchester W209, Strong enough for the BH209?

Bullets - Barnes TBD

After much research and some personal experiences I will not use PB's I don't care what the mfg says. I have been using SW's in TC Encore .45 with good results but would like to extend my range and have more knock down power.

I hunt whitetail in farm country so a long field shot is possible, I also hunt sika deer in the MD swamps and you need some real knockdown power to drop those lil buggers.

I've decided on trying some Barnes Sabots but I'm confused on which one is used for what. Looks like there is 4-5 to choose from.

Any advice on a nice place to start?
