1)Use Magnum primer when using Blackhorn 209 (CCI-M or Fed 209A)
2) If you have a tight barrel use orange sabot (250MZ) or T-EZ Blue sabots..250 or 290 grain. (tight fitting barrel)
3) If the above bullet/sabot loads too easy, try MZ with the black sabots (HPH-12). (Medium barrel)
4) If you have a loose barrel use the TMZ with supplied yellow sabot.250 or 290.
(loose fitting barrel)
In my experience, my ML's like a tighter fit, I use a T-handle ram to seat my bullets. Good luck.

I must say that is one of the best responses I have seen, thanks. I wish Barnes would post this up on their web site.

Win209s are fine for BH209 MOST of the time, easily in the 99% range if the breachplug is clean. Using modified breachplugs they have been 100% and have given me my best groups in several rifles using BH209.
My favorite all around Barnes bullet for a 50cal and deer....250gr Expander MZ or you can get them loose in the XPB lineup and buy sabots separately. Its my favorite 45cal HP if price isnt a concern and on average the most accurate in the largest variety of guns.

Barnes bullets are flat out game takers. Started using the Barnes Expanders in my 20Ga Encore for deer here in Md. Then switched to the Barnes Expander MZ in .50 Encore rifle 250 gr with 150 gr 777 and Omega scope. Never lost a deer with any of those loads. Switching this year to Barnes T-EZ 250 with 90 gr 777 in Encore .50 handgun. From sand bag groups 1.5 inches at 100. A bit tight but not too difficult with frequent cleaning. The common item of them all is "Barnes".

In my accura V2 I shot it yesterday for the first time, And used the TMZ 290 grain, and i used the haverester crush rib yellow sabot. loads easy and shoots good had two shot touching at 100 yards. using 100 grains T777 fffg
I was sighting in the rifle for the first and trying out different bullets. FYI the hornadys FPB's in 350 grains load easy.
