Wondering what you guys think of this deal. I would like to have them, but $650 is alot for something I don't need or have a practical use for. I have always wanted a pair of revolvers though. I guess what I am really wondering is this- are consecutive numbers really that rare and does it really add to the value of the guns?
"New in the box, unfired, pair of consecutive serial numbered Cimarron/Uberti 1860 Army pistols. These are really great looking pistols with rich bluing, case-hardening, and very nice wood. Both pistols are still in the original boxes with all the factory paperwork (including warranty cards). Also included would be a pair of new leather holsters (a left & right) made for the 1860 Army. MSRP on these pistols is $333.41 each. Consecutive numbered pairs are nearly impossible to find and command a premium when you do find them. I am asking $650.00 for the pistols and holsters."

Well they are beautiful revolvers no doubt. If you really want to sell them I would also suggest listing them in classified adds on different forums your a member of. You might also want to see how www.gunbroker.com works and some of the other auction sites.

Oh.. well that's different. Then you just have to ask yourself how bad you want them. Actually for Uberti revolvers, that is not all that bad of a price. Its amazing how much they went up in value the past few years. I personally think they would look great on the wall, and occasionally on the range. I have art work I paid more then that for.

First off that is a good price! However, consecutive serial numbers are not unusual. You can order them from the factory easily.
It all started when Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) made a demand for them. I have been shooting cowboy for about 11 years and in the old days it was almost impossible to find them. When the demand got high, the gun companies made them more available. It was more of a novelty then anything else.
If you have a need for two of these type guns, it would be a nice brace of pistols to have in your safe.
Good shooting.
