First off that is a good price! However, consecutive serial numbers are not unusual. You can order them from the factory easily.

It all started when Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) made a demand for them. I have been shooting cowboy for about 11 years and in the old days it was almost impossible to find them. When the demand got high, the gun companies made them more available. It was more of a novelty then anything else.

If you have a need for two of these type guns, it would be a nice brace of pistols to have in your safe.
